Our standards
We expect participants to:
- Be respectful and considerate in all interactions.
- Focus on constructive feedback about content, sources, and accuracy.
- Assume good faith when others disagree with you.
- Respect privacy—do not publish personal information about living people without a legitimate encyclopedic reason and appropriate sourcing.
- Follow applicable laws and our Terms of Use.
Unacceptable behavior
The following are not tolerated on {{APP_NAME}}:
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination.
- Personal attacks, doxxing, or stalking.
- Deliberate vandalism, spam, or sustained disruption of the project.
- Posting sexually explicit material or content that exploits or endangers minors.
- Misrepresenting sources, fabricating genealogical data, or other deliberate deception.
Content and living people
Genealogical and biographical content must be written neutrally and supported by reliable sources where possible. Extra care applies to information about living or recently deceased individuals. Remove or redact content that poses an unjustified privacy or safety risk.

Moderators and reviewers may warn, revert edits, restrict editing privileges, or remove content that violates these standards. Serious or repeated violations may result in account suspension or a ban.
Scope
This Code applies to activity on {{APP_NAME}} properties and to project-related spaces where participants represent the project (for example official forums, issue trackers, or community channels linked from the site).
